EC&I 831- First blog post

As I journey through the Masters in Education program and take advantage of learning more about the never-ending social media and educational tools found online, I find my self wondering are online classes able to meet the different multiple intelligences identified by Howard Gardner?  As well, are students able to build human and emotional connections when studying online, as it is these two types of connections that help to build and retain meaning (Wolfe, 2010, p. 140).

I found an interesting article from elearn Magazine called Online Done Right: The importance of human interaction for student success that supports how important it is that online students maintain a form of human connection as this connection is key to mastering new concepts.

  1. I know real connections can be made online that can enhance your life and your job. My PLN has enriched who I am and what I do. Thanks to taking my online course ETMOOC , I have gained new friendships that are valuable and still growing.
